Essex Outdoors Bradwell Kayaking takes you on a tour of the River Blackwater Estuary and the waterways of Essex.

While we don't have training wheels for our canoes, we do have the perfect locations for those just starting out. All of our instructors are fully qualified through the British Canoe Union providing training for novices as well as courses for those looking to improve their skills and receive nationally recognised certification for more advanced courses.

No matter where you are in the great outdoors, it is always a good idea to know where you are, where you are going and most importantly how you are going to get back!

Our orienteering courses can be tailored to suit the abilities and goals of groups of all shapes and sizes. We will teach you vital navigation skills before sending you off on a race from checkpoint to checkpoint, you decide how to get there using your newfound knowledge, a map and a compass as you race towards the finish line.

On the east coast of Essex stands our high ropes course providing a great challenge when you join us at Essex Outdoors Bradwell Canopy.

Set high above your head you look up and see a gauntlet looming above your head consisting of a series of climbs, leaps and balances that at first seem impossible. Your experienced instructor will strap you into your harness, which you will wear for the rest of the experience, and connect you to the wire system the runs the length of the course.

From here you can have peace of mind that you are totally safe, connected to a pulley system you can take on any challenge and if you slip, you will only fall a foot or so before being hoisted up again to have another go. And if at any time you are feeling overwhelmed it is a simply matter of letting the instructor know. If you cannot continue is very easy to be lowered back down to the ground.
