New for 2007 are two fabulous activities. The high ropes course offers a challenge that will develop team spirit, communication skills and problem solving skills. Group belaying develops trust and responsibility and enables everyone to participate. The aim is to climb and clamber up, over, across and down the elements helping each other as you go.

The zip-wire is tremendous fun and offers a chance for clients to really test their nerve. Connected to a steel wire suspended 10 metres above the ground you’ll get a ‘roller coaster’ rush as you rapidly descend and accelerate along the 70 metre wire.

We utilise both Topper and Wayfarer sailing dinghies to provide a fantastic day of instruction in this popular sport. Our sailing sessions take place in the sheltered New Quay Bay and are led by fully qualified and professional sailing instructors who will teach you the techniques you need to fill your sails and navigate with confidence.

We have hiking experiences for people of all ages and levels of experience from the coastal paths tracing the edge of Cardigan Bay with its wealth of wildlife, beautiful beaches and towering cliffs to the hills surrounding us including Preseli Hills and the Cambrian Mountains where you will find the source of the Severn and the Wye rivers.

Enjoy a day of putting yourself to the challenge with our purpose built climbing tower when you visit us at Llain Activity Centre Climbing.

Once our fully qualified climbing instructors have taken you through the rope work, safety aspects and climbing techniques you will need for the day, you will be introduced to our 4 sided tower. You will be harnessed into a pulley system to ensure safety as you scale over 20 different routes of varying difficulty.

We offer the opportunity for everyone, young and old to try this fantastic sport. We offer a range of bows that are perfectly suited to people of all ages, strength and sizes and have a team of qualified and experience archery instructors who will teach you at your own pace, and to your own level of ability.

Take on our specially designed climbing and abseiling wall on our fantastic site and enjoy this thrilling experience in a safe environment with Llain Activity Centre Abseiling.

Taking the first step is one of the hardest parts of this experience, once your instructor harnesses you in and connects you to the pulley system, you can step off the tower in complete safety, lowering yourself till you are horizontal with your feet planted firmly on the vertical wall. From here you can shimmy, step or bound down the wall till your feet are back on terra firma. The feeling of accomplishment alone will make you want to climb up and do it all over again!
