At Mountain Sense Canoeing we have endless locations for paddling right on our doorstep. Based in the Lake District we are lakes, lochs, rivers and valleys that you can only explore and discover with your canoe and paddle.

Our experienced and qualified can teach you paddling techniques which will enable you to progress and become a competent paddler with skills have limitless possibilities. We offer various different courses like the BCU level 1, 2 and 3, introductions to canoeing and white water paddling as well as canoeing expeditions.

Kayaking with us at Mountain Sense Kakaying is an exceptionally beautiful experience as we run our activities in the Lake District where there are stunning lakes and rivers that you can only explore by water!

We offer introduction courses to paddling and white water paddling as well as the BCU levels 1, 2 and 3. Kayaking is a versatile and practical water sport that practically anyone can master. Our courses will allow paddlers to become comfortable paddling on lakes and then help you move on the bigger challenges like facing rapids!

Based in the scenic Lake District, Mountain Sense Canyoning offers the ultimate wet and wild adventure known as gorge walking or canyoning. This thrilling outdoor adventure takes you to stunning ravines and gorges in the area where you will move upstream, abseiling, swimming and sliding and jumping off rocks.

Being based in the Lake District means that we at Mountain Sense Hiking boast some of the most breathtaking countryside, hills and mountains for our outdoor adventures, hikes and hill walks in the UK! We offer brilliant experiences from our qualified and skilled instructors while providing training for all levels of hikers.

We offer an Introduction to mountain skills where beginners can learn the essentials of mountain excursions, Intermediate Mountain skills for those with some experience under their belt that are looking for further coaching and advanced mountain skills which is for perfecting skills!

At Mountain Sense Climbing we welcome climbers of all abilities! Based in Keswick in the Lake District, we have routes and rock for everyone! There are single pitch crags to multi-pitch mountains to climb, all right on our doorstep!

Our leaders are experienced and qualified and they can deliver your training over 1 to 5 days, depending on what you are looking for and the time you have. We can accommodate climbers new to the sport, help those making the transition from indoor climbing to outdoor climbing on natural rock, climbing problem solving or an introduction to lead climbing. Whatever you´re looking for, we can accommodate you!

Based in the Lake District we offer tons of scenic and exhilarating places to peddle.  We run our excursions on the opened trail in Whinlatter Forest Park but we offer other equally exceptional trails!

Our instructors are qualified and experienced and will help you progress and perfect your riding technique with our brilliant courses. We offer an introductory course and a skill-oriented course that will show you the basics of riding as well as how to shift weight, track stands, wheel lifting techniques.

Abseiling is only one of our fantastic outdoor adventures, but it´s the only one of its kind! We at Mountain Sense Abseiling offer abseiling in the stunning Lake District! Our expert and experienced instructors provide top notch training and a memorable experience on the rock you won´t soon forget. This is a great opportunity to have a go at something new, make the most out of the outdoors and acquire new skills!

Brilliant for groups, abseiling is a great activity to incorporate into an Adventure Package for your Hen or Stag do, Corporate Teambuilding event, and birthday or just for a unique adventure with friends and family. Abseiling is also the perfect activity to pair with climbing!

Come and enjoy finding your bearing with us at Mountain Sense Orienteering! We offer this navigation challenge for groups looking to learn how to use a map and compass in order to find markers positioned around the natural landscape.

This is a marvelous activity for groups and for incorporating into an Adventure Package that we can custom design for you with our broad selection of outdoor adventures.  A brilliant idea for Hen and Stag dos, Corporate and Teambuilding events, birthdays or fun days out with family and friends, this is a great challenge which will get both your noggin and your legs in motion as well as adding a splash of friendly competition.

Come and enjoy an adventure high above the ground at Mountain Sense Canopy! Our high ropes course is a fantastic area to let go of extra steam and lots of adrenaline on an intricate system of ropes. This course will test your nerve, your love for heights and help your confidence sky rocket!
