Newbury Mountain Club

We explore all the possible options and activities mountains offer. One the one hand, walking; on the other hand, mountaineering.
Activities are organized each week, mainly on weekends. Our visits take place in the United Kingdom. Nevertheless, we may organize  journeys to another country!

Furthermore, we have gatherings each fifteen days. We meet at the local pub in order to discuss future endeavours and to talk about our common passion. If you want to know more about us, you can join us there!

This year is very special to us. We celebrate the 25º anniversary of our foundation! Taking this into account we are planning to organize several activities, offers and surprises. Join us in order to profit!

There is a sense of trust and friendship among the crew. Bonds are easily form and maintained. Till you acquired all the necessary equipment, the rest of the team will give you what you need!

Once you have become a member, you can suggest future activities and take part in the gatherings where we decide where to go!

Depending on the activity we are about to do, children may be allowed. Nevertheless, we pay special attention to their safety, searching for accommodation options in accordance with the consent of their family. Notwithstanding this, as long as they are under-age, they cannot acquire official membership.

We are a family friendly institution based in Berkshire with the mission of spreading the culture of hiking. Nowadays we can proclaim that we have been rather successful in our endeavour. We organize plenty of activities every month with an special focus on England and Wales. Furthermore, we also visit beautiful landscapes and regions of Ireland and Scotland. With us, there are no limits!

Our customer’s satisfaction matters. We assess the suitability of each trip to our members’ interest and capabilities. Our staff is passionate about what they do and have been formed in the best institutions of the country.

We meet fairly frequently in order to discuss about hiking and to have some fun. You can perfectly join us in order to see the clime of trust, friendship and solidarity that hiking helps to create. You can be a part of it!

• Brecon Beacons: Also known as the pride of Wales. There is no corner we have explored before!
• Cambrian Route: Another overwhelming experience. There are a number of different itineraries. We know which the best are!
