Reach Outdoors is the passion project of three friends - Rachel Mayhew, Richard Hanbury and Ashley Hone - who have 30 years of outdoor activities experience between them. Located in South Devon, one of the best places for these kinds of activities in the UK (according to TripAdvisor), we will help you discover how nature, especially that of the English Riviera, can boost personal growth and development.

What is our mission? To strengthen your health, to push your connection with the environment and to have a great time in a UNESCO-status landscape, the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site. It's the perfect place for adventurers who want to discover the true power of watersports like kayaking, coasteering and paddleboarding, as well as terrestrial activities such as climbing.

We offer both private and group sessions in this stunning location. We work principally in Torbay and Goodrington Sands, where beautiful waters meet golden sands backed with green hills. To get to our HQ in Paignton you must take the A379 from Paignton city centre.

Awards are a way of recognising exceptional work and passion and we're very proud to say that we have some of the most distinguished ones. For instance, we received an award of excellency from TripAdvisor in 2018. The county of Devon also gave us the Devon Tourism Certificate in 2019, as we promote our hometown and increase national and international interest in tourism in the area.

We use ‘sit on top’ kayaks, which are stable and user friendly. No experience necessary; allow our British Canoe Union qualified coaches to guide you safely on a journey of exploration and fun! All equipment is provided; all you need bring is your sense of adventure!

An award-winning company, we have 30 years of experience in the field. The founders, Ashley Hone, Rachel Mayhew and Richard Hanbury have a passion for nature, sport and, of course and above all, for coasteering. We have built a team that follows the Royal Yachting Association's best practices, rules and training in order to provide only the best sessions.

But we have to mention one additional element that makes us different and special. That would be the land- and water-scapes where we hold our sessions. This is the English Riviera, part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Jurassic Coast. Apart from the geology and beauty of the area, it's a wonderful place to eat fresh fish, caught in the best fishing waters in the country.

Our coasteering sessions are great for people who want to come on their own or in a group and are a great opportunity to jump, swim and climb in a land of dreams.

Our location in the South West offers a brilliant variety of stunning locations to head out and enjoy cycling. Mountain biking is versatile and exciting adventure sport that beginners to experienced riders can enjoy.

At Reach Outdoors, we believe in heading out into the wild, but we also have room for indoor sessions. When the sun doesn't shine, when we're short or time, or when we want to hone and train our skills, we go to the indoor climbing wall.

Where are our sessions held? At Parkfield, a facility in Paignton built to offer the best climbing and bouldering experiences to young people and to adults who want to get active. To get here, you only need to follow the B3201 from Paignton and, in a few minutes, you'll be arriving!

What can you find here with us? As our company's founders have 30 years' experience leading adventure activities, they know what climbers are looking for. You will find great installations at Parkfield, where you can enjoy the 18 roped routes that are available and different walls where you can have a go at 60 different climbing routes.

In addition, you can choose private sessions with your own coach, sessions for two with your own training or a beginners course to conquer all your fears. As we take safety and our work seriously, we follow recommendations and rules by the National Indoor Climbing Award Scheme (the famous NICAS), so we guarantee that, whatever your abilities, you will feel comfortable and you will learn some tips to find your own climbing style.

Come and discover the most entertaining navigational challenge with Reach Outdoors Orienteering! This is a great sport for all ages of adventurers that entails using navigational skills and a map and compass to find markers located around unfamiliar terrain. Based in the South West of England, we have oodles of areas to head out and orienteer. These are great skills to have as they are easily applied to everyday life!

This is a fun and engaging activity which is a great team builder! Come along with Hen and Stags, Corporate and Teambuilding events or with friends or family for an original fun day out! We offer qualified instructors who are knowledge and excellent at training!

If you are an Agatha Christie fan, you have another reason to come paddleboarding with us. Many places mentioned in her novels are set here and she often found inspiration in this incredible region to write!

You can arrive in this part of England by train. Taking London as our departure city, you have to take the train at London Paddington until you get to Paignton. There are more than a hundred trains operating every week that can get you here! Otherwise, if you prefer driving, it's only a 3-hour journey and you can use that time to listen to an audiobook - don't forget that Christie was born on the English Riviera!

We also pay attention to safety and rules, as we are members of the Royal Yachting Association, and we have been singled out by Devon County Council as a positive force in the boosting of tourism in this stunning part of the UK.
