The Activities Group (North) Ltd was created in 2010 when two major activity providers in the area merged their companies and they now offer their fantastic activities as a team. Our premier venue is Burn Hall Activity Centre in York and our facilities offer a splendid centre with stunning natural landscape and countryside that are perfect for an outdoor adventure.

The Activities Group (North) Ltd Canoeing is a fantastic outdoor activity provider that provides the fabulous watersport of paddling. We offer training from the National canoeing skills schemes UKCC and BCU and we also run fantastic river paddling trips which are heavenly for taking in local scenery and enjoying the Great Outdoors.

We can accommodate anyone from beginner to experienced paddlers. Our expert and qualified instructors are able to provide paddlers with skill and technical training to will enable paddlers to become more competent and have more confidence.

Welcome to The Activities Group (North) Ltd Kayaking! We are a AALA recognized outdoor pursuit provider that also provides UKCC and BCU training and well as kayaking experiences on local rivers.

Whatever your kayaking experience may be, we have something for you. We can help you achieve kayak qualifications, take you out for a scenic river paddling excursions or trips or enjoy a session in combination with one of our other outdoor adventures. All of our sessions are led by our qualified and friendly instructors.

Although kayaking may appear to be an individual sport, it is also a brilliant activity to do in groups. At The Activities Group (North) Ltd Mountain Biking one of our most in demand outdoor activities is Mountain Biking! Our location in York offers fabulous terrain for exhilarating mountain biking  however we are able to offer bespoke experiences anywhere in the UK!

We offer this activity as a group experience, especially for young adventurers for school excursions. We can also offer rides that are specially catered to any level of mountain biker, mixing local bridleways and byways with country lanes and cycling trails.

We can also provide GCSE, BTEC or Diploma mountain biking. All of our instructors are qualified and experienced. We supply all of the necessary equipment including bikes, helmets and gloves.

Welcome to The Activities Group (North) Ltd Climbing in York! We offer indoor and outdoor climbing that are perfect activities for novice and intermediate climbers. Our outdoor climbing is single pitch rock climbing with a maximum height of 20m which is excellent for those who have experience indoor climbing.  Our indoor climbing is a great way to learn the ropes of this adventure activity.

Our session will teach you the ins and outs of climbing including harnesses, ropes, belaying and climbing techniques. Every session is tailored to the At The Activities Group (North) Ltd Quads, anyone over the age of 6 years old is welcome to come along and discover the brutal power and exhilaration of quad biking. Our quad bikes are all fully automatic and we offer loads of space for making the most out of these machines.

We offer skilled and experienced instructors that provide all riders with a safety briefing and show them the necessary techniques of quad biking.
