Description of The Lincoln Mountaineering Club

The Lancaster University Mountaineering Club, based in Lancashire is a club not only for students, but also anyone interested in mountain climbing in general. People of all experience levels are welcomed. Therefore, we encourage all to come out and have a go!

The Lancaster University Mountaineering Club is student run. Though many members are current students, our club is also composed of alumni and people in the area who have a passion for the outdoors. Our team ranges from a variety of ability levels- novices to skilled climbers. This is perfect for those looking for something fun to do on weekends or others who would like to meet people with shared interests. To climb, you just have to obtain a Purple Card form the University. This is a simple, and easy process.

We visit a variety of crags and mountains. Some of our locations include Anglezarke Quarry, Kendal Wall, and Borrowdale. We also take trips to Wales.  Furthermore, we have an array of social events of which include the Roped Bar Crawl. On Wednesdays we meet at the County Bar for signups.
