YX Paragliding is a BHPA-licensed company that specialises in paragliding flights, providing both tandem flights as well as paragliding courses. We have been working in the field for an important number of years, which allows us to provide our customers with the best possible service and custom training methods, while also making it an enjoyable experience. We do paragliding flights both in the Shropshire area as well as mountainous areas in Wales.
Paragliding is a different approach to flying and enables you to enjoy the liberating sensation of gliding similarly to a bird by using only the wind. There are no engines, no propellers, just the sound of you and the paraglider cutting your way through the air. This is the closest and most natural way one can experience flying and we like to think that it's one of those things that we have to try at least once in our lifetime.
At YX Paragliding you can enjoy various paragliding activities. On one hand, those looking to see what paragliding is about have the chance to do so through either Taster Day, in which you can learn the basic concepts that serve as a basis for a full course or a tandem flight during which you will fly together with an instructor. He is in charge of handling the paraglider while you can simply enjoy the scenery and the experience itself.
On the other hand, we also offer a Full Course to Club Pilot, which takes the student from an absolute beginner to enabling him or her to join any paragliding club in the UK and most of those located abroad. It has a duration of approximately 8 days, however, you can ask for additional training if you want to solidify your skills.
