60 North Sailing is a fantastic sailing school in Lerwick, Shetland that offers RYA Keelboat sailing and powerboat courses. If you are enthusiastic about learning and looking to get out on the water, we are a brilliant location to have a go or to sign up for a course and become a RYA qualified!
We have a long list of sailing courses available with instruction given by our expert and qualified instructors with excellent equipment available for your instruction. We have something for everyone from the beginner to the more advanced sailor! Small groups are more than welcome to come along and enjoy this sailing experience.

Welcome to 60 North Sailing Sailing! Come out and enjoy Keelboat sailing in Lerwick, Shetland and enjoy the wind, sails and water! We offer a variety of different ways to experience sailing with us from grand introduction to official RYA training courses and even races.
Our expert instructors provide the following activities:
Taster session: this is a great way to discover the fascinating watersport of sailing! We can take up to 4 people and you can enjoy a 2 hour or 4 hour session.
RYA Keel-boat course: official RYA training
Skill development course: discuss with us and see what we can offer you
Own boat tuition: a great way to learn how to master your own boat
Race coaching: for those looking to take home the gold

Based in Lerwick, Shetland, we have great waters to come and learn on!
We offer the following courses:
RYA Powerboating Level 1: This course is approximately 8 hours in length and provides a grand introduction to powerboating
RYA Powerboating Level 2: This course is roughly 16 hours long and provides both theory and plenty of practical training. This is a thorough introduction to powerboating.
