Welcome to Britannia Sailing East Coast located on the border between Essex and Suffolk. We are an official RYA training centre as well, offering training courses for sailing and powerboating as well as superb yacht charters onboard one of our exquisite vessels. 

Our location is ideal for sailing, especially those just starting out as this part of the east coast offers sheltered and uncrowded waters perfect for learning to sail. East Anglia also offers endless locations for exploring!

Come and learn to sail with us at Britannia Sailing East Coast Sailing. Located in East Anglia on the borders of Essex and Suffolk, we offer official training from the Royal Yachting Association. Our waters are an excellent place to learn as the east coast boasts multiple rivers and estuaries as well as non-crowded and sheltered waters.

Our training consists in both shorebased and practical training which takes place on one of our excellent vessels. We offer a friendly environment and a comfortable classroom for our courses which are flexible enough to work around your hectic life.  Our practical training can be done over the course of various days and we always offer a low student:instructor ratio.

We offer a broad range of RYA courses, however if you do not find what you are looking for, we can also offer bespoke training programs. Our qualified and enthusiastic instructors offer top tuition on our 4.8m Ribcraft which is outfitted with the best equipment. We offer a range of the following RYA powerboat courses:

• Level 1- a great introduce for those new to powerboating
• Level 2- the next step which also offers handling tips
• Intermediate-basic boat handling skills as well as navigation training for day and night
• Advanced- learning to drive in bad weather as well as night navigation training
• Safety boat-training for rescueing small crafts in trouble like dinghies, kayaks etc
