If you want to start Powerboating – there is no time like the present! If you think that you don´t have the time, Mutiny Diving can offer flexible RYA Powerboating courses that can work with your busy time table. Even if the weather is bad, full training courses can still be run due to the large enclosed harbour and marina areas.
For beginners, the RYA Powerboat level 1 is a one day course that introduces you to Powerboating – making sure you know the basics needed. During the day, you will learn how to prepare the boat and crew, boat handling, picking up and securing to a mooring buoy, leaving and coming alongside and being towed.
RYA Powerboat level 2 – The basis of the International Certificate of Competence, this is a two day course that provides you with the skill and knowledge you need to drive a powerboat. When you finish the course, you should be confident in close quarters handling, man overboard recovery, high speed manoeuvres and collision regulations. The course can either be taken on the coast or inland, and your certificate will be endorsed accordingly.
