Outfit Moray is an outdoor education charity based in Lossiemouth, Moray, offering activities, courses and tailored programmes for young people, adults, families, and groups. All the money we make goes straight back into helping us to make a positive difference to the lives of young people.

We offer:

Canoeing

If paddling over a calm loch with the sun shining is a vision you have, think Outfit Moray! We have years of Canoeing experience be it gliding across a calm loch, enjoying the white water ride of the U.K’s fastest river (the River Spey) We choose from a wide range of areas to make sure we get it right for you.  Even though Canoeing is seen as a dry sport, if you fancy testing your skills we can supply you with a wetsuit just in case you are not as good as you thought or remembered! Outfit Moray have all the kit you need for a great day on the water, all you need is lust for learning and a towel just in case......
 
Other products you might like:

• Canoe hire.  If a guided session is not what you are after and you have experience in open canoes we are more than happy to hire our paddling kit to you.  From boats to buoyancy aids, helmets to gloves we have all you need for your adventure.

• Skills courses.  Get a national star qualification for your personal skills.

 Whether you are on a loch or bobbing down a rapid on a river Outfit Moray Kayaking has everything you need to have a day to remember.   

We use Pyranha TG Masters for there all round use and ease of control for the beginner/Intermediate.  These boats unlike canoes are built for solo use with a paddle with blades on both ends.  We will teach you the basics or improve your technique under the watchful eye of our qualified instructional team who have a passion for the water.  We provide you with all the kit you need to keep you warm and safe including wetsuits, cags, a paddle, buoyancy aid and helmet. All you need is some sun cream and a towel just in case!

Surfing
 
Lossiemouth is a great location to learn to surf, don’t let the north sea put you off! Outfit Moray use Donald Peace, owner and founder of Newwave Surf School. Donald started with us in March 2007 as a volunteer and with Outfit’s support he was soon a qualified surf instructor. He started Newwave which has been surfing the waves of Moray and Thurso ever since and we are sure Donald spends more time in the water than he does out! During summer when the waves die down a bit is a great time to jump on Newwave’s foam long boards and see what is so additive about catching waves and before you know it this fast growing sport will catch you.

We use 5/4mm wetsuits which will keep you toasty warm including boots, gloves and hoods (buoyancy aids are available at no extra cost.)

Mountain Biking.
 
Using a variety of venues we cater for all group/family needs, from the wide rolling trails of Culbin Forest to the Speyside Way to whizzing down the single tracks of the Outfit Moray Monster Trails in Fochabers.  We use Specialized bikes and have done for many years as they are great all round mountain bikes.
We provide all the equipment needed for a safe days riding including Helmet, Gloves and repair kits. You can either have the full guided experience or take the bikes out on hire and explore what Outfit Moray has to offer.  Feel free to give us a phone to discuss your Mountain Bike plans.
 
We also offer:

• Night Biking, ride the trails with a spot light strapped to your bike.
• Bike Skills, we have a mobile skills kit including fun boxes, balance beams and see saws. (available for party’s too!)
• Bike Maintenance workshops, learn the basics and safe your money in the long run on repairs.

Rock Climbing with Outfit Moray is an enjoyable experience even for those who are a little afraid of heights.  The venues we use are great places for groups and families and have great picnic spots too.  On the rock, our qualified staff will make your experience as enjoyable and safe as possible. We supply you with all technical equipment needed, including helmets, harness’s and rock shoe’s, the only thing you have to bring is a passion for adventure.
 
Other Climbing activities we offer:

• Abseiling, (descending the crag) if you dare lean over the edge.
• Indoor Rock Climbing.  We have a choice of four indoor climbing walls for when the weather turns nasty.
• Bouldering, focusing on movement on the rock.  Low level climbing without the use of ropes and harness’s.  We provide crash mats for your safety.
• Multi Pitch Rock Climbing.  If you are after an amazing rock climbing experience you can’t beat this.  We take you into the mountains for a real big adventure of high up rock climbing.

 
With all of these choices there is something to suit everyone.

Summer Hill Walking
 
Hill walking is a proud Scottish pastime and we enjoy some of the classic Munros in Moray. It’s said there is up to 1200 mountains in Scotland so we think we should be able to find something to suit you. Weather it is the might of Britain’s second tallest mountain Beinn Macduibh (1309m in Moray), a stroll up the wee Bin of Cullen (320m) to take in the view of the Moray coast or the well trodden paths of the famous old cattle passes. We organize wild camping trips or explore some of the great mountain bothies (to save carrying a tent!)
 
In Outfit Moray we have all the kit you could possibly need, boots, gloves, hats, ruck sacs, tents, stoves and funny enough plenty of water proofs just in case it rains...... Our qualified and experienced staff enjoy spending time in the hill themselves over summer and can talk you through what shaped the landscapes and some of the unique plants we have here in the highlands.
