Welcome to Arklemoor Riding Centre.

We are a small riding centre just outside the dales village of Reeth. Our main aim is to give the people who visit us a happy and enjoyable experience.

To do this we tailor our rides to meet individuals needs.

If you are an experienced rider who wants to go for a good hack we will put you on a ride of similar abilities.

If you are a nervous rider we have very bomb proof ponies, an arena to start you off in, and we can go as slow as you want to.

If you have never sat on a horse before our ponies are used to  complete beginners and will treat you very gently.

The centre is situated right on the edge of Reeth Moor so even if you only want an hours ride we can take you for a stunning ride over the heather moorland. You will experience all the thrills of riding a pony in the wildness of the Arkengarthdale hills.

We have a new purpose built arena for learning to ride. Jane can teach all the basic aids from how to sit on the horse, holding the reins, turning, stopping and starting. If you want to spend more time learning how to control the horse and how to ask him to walk trot and canter this is the ideal place.

The arena is also ideal for children as they can get their confidence within the safety of this environment.

The arena is built in the corner of one of our fields overlooking Arkengarthdale, so you can have spectacular views as you learn to ride your horse.

We have various paddocks for the ponies that we graze them on in the summer. Some are at the centre , some further afield.
