We are located in South Wales, at the World Heritage site of Blaenavon. You can reach us easily via the M4 or the A40. We teach very small groups using the latest paragliding equipment. Fancy learning to paraglide? You can with Paraventure Airsports Paragliding! We are one of the longest established airport schools in the U.K. We specialise in professional and progressive instruction. We also understand that your time is precious and aim to be as flexible as possible.
We practice flying in the South of Wales, regarded by many as one of the best flying areas in the country. We are fortunate enough to have many different flying sites catering for all wind directions. On a paragliding course, we will begin by getting to know each other and then it’s out to the hills. We believe in getting you out flying as soon as possible! The training will start with how to ground handle and launch your canopy before progressing to low-level flights in order to build confidence, and then we will move even higher up the hill. You will always proceed at your own pace and each student will have a radio, which is like having the instructor in the air with you.
There are no limits! Once you have completed our beginner´s course you may wish to aim for the Elementary Pilot Certification (EPC). This is also the first officially recognised qualification in paragliding.

Learning to Paramotor with Paraventure Airsports Paramotoring could not be easier. We have more than 12 years experience in operating as a paramotoring school. Paramotoring is the most accessible form of powered flight; the personal aircraft worn by the pilot can be safely flown on most days irrespective of the weather. Furthermore, it requires minimal training in comparison with other aviation crafts.
The engine enables the glider to take-off from ground level and maintains height without the assistance of the weather. It basically combines a paraglider with a backpack engine, hence the name paramotor. The engine may also be switched off once you have gained enough height in order to glide through the air.
Lately, more and more paragliders are turning to paramotoring in order to increase their flight time and experience a new adventure. At Paraventure Airsports Paramotoring you will enjoy following the local rivers in Blaenavon along the valley bottoms, as well as be climbing the highest peaks. Furthermore, paramotoring is not an expensive hobby and powered flight has never been so accessible to so many people.
