August is a very special month in our calendar!
For much of the year, The Hot Air Balloon Company - or Steve and Adam, as we’re more commonly known - prepare for the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta. This is a celebration of everything balloon and ballooning related, a time when the skies of the capital of the West Country fill with hot air balloons of all shapes, sizes and colours.
It wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that this is like Christmas for us, so we go all out. Our balloons are always ready to go during morning and evening launching windows and their eye-catching designs stand out in the crowded skies.
Ballooning during a festival is a different experience to a flight at any other time of year. Whereas a typical flight is characterised by peace, tranquillity and solitude, a flight during the Fiesta is all about a community coming together and having a fantastic time. You’ll wave to passengers in other baskets, marvel at the aerial ballet of dozens of balloons and come back down to enjoy the festival atmosphere.
Just because we’re focused on the Fiesta doesn’t mean we don’t continue to provide the same high-quality experience and customer service that you’d expect at any other time of the year. We keep passenger numbers small for these flights, just two or four people, and allow you to upgrade your experience with classy treats like champagne and chocolate strawberries.
