Welcome to the Canalboat Holidays.

We provide wonderful and relaxing canal boat holidays exploring the beautiful British countryside.

With our associated holiday fleets we have over 200 boats available for groups as small as 2 and as large as 12. We operate from 11 locations offering you greater flexibility and a wider choice of routes.

Our Services

We can offer advice and information on planning your route and offer you routes to choose from. You don´t need any previous experience to hire a canal boat and we can also provide advice on handling your boats, locks, and anything other information that you may need to know to feel confident on the water.

If you are interested in training to get the most out of your canal boat holidays we also offer a RYA Inland Helmsmans course to teach or improve your boat handling skills. Courses are often held at the ABC Boat Hire Alvechurch Marina base in the Midlands, but other locations may also be available. 

Our Boats

All of our boats carry a current safety certoficate, and for your comfort all have the following features:

• Over 1.85m of head room for more comfort and ease of movement
• Powerful diesel engines
• All of our boats carry enough fuel for a 2 week trip - 50 gallons
• All of our boats carry 100 gallons of water
• Full size cookers complete with grills and ovens
• Sinks, with hot and cold running water
• An electric fridge freezer
• Gas or oil central heating
• Flushing toilets
• Showers
• Colour TVs, and some with DVDs
• Radio cassette players or CD players

Many also have hairdryers, microwaves, coffee making facilities and toasters.
