Half Day Trial Flight from Rochester to Shoreham

Book this cross country flight for a double dose of excitement and sightseeing.

This trial flight is a landaway experience, which means it includes two flights: from Rochester Airport to Brighton City Airport, in Shoreham, and back.

On both legs of the journey, you will have a chance to try flying the plane yourself thanks to the dual controls of our Cessna 172. This is a four-seat plane, which means that there’s space for 1 or 2 passengers, and both can take a turn in the copilot’s seat.

Of course, a professional pilot will be in command, responsible for pre-flight briefings and checks, taking off, landing and navigating. You’ll be able to enjoy stunning vistas of Kent, the South Downs National Park, the white cliffs of the East Sussex Coast and Brighton pier.

The whole experience, including the build up to the first flight, the landaway in Shoreham and the return journey will last several hours, so put aside half a day for this flight of fancy. Height and weight restrictions are 6' (198cm) and 17 stone (105 kg). Under 16s must fly with an adult.
