Description of 2 Day Canoe and Camping Trip on the River Tweed

Quench your thirst for adventure on one of the UK’s most significant rivers.

The powerful River Tweed has long been a natural and political border between England and Scotland. You can take a trip along its course and back in time with us to fully connect with the natural landscape that surrounds it.

This is an overnight canoeing trip down river towards Berwick-upon-Tweed. We spend the night wild camping on an uninhabited island in the river. If you’ve never done something like this before, or if you’re already a master of the outdoors, you’re in for an incredible experience.

We have Canadian canoes which seat two people and have enough space to store equipment and belongings (we will provide you with a kit list in advance so you know what to bring). The fleet can consist of up to six canoes, so we can take groups of up to 12 people.

Although you don’t need to have a lot of experience to complete this tour, you should be prepared to paddle for a substantial amount of time on each day as we’ll cover a distance of about 22 miles in total. All participants must be over 16 years of age.
