We have the whole Lake District National Park at our disposal. Our HQ in Ambleside is very convenient for climbing spots in Langdale, but we also love the rock in Eskdale, Borrowdale and other locations within the park boundaries.
You need to wear approach shoes or good outdoor boots and have the clothing and supplies necessary for several hours exposed to the elements. We’ll take care of the safety equipment and climbing gear.
We’re a team of experienced climbing instructors with a great deal of local knowledge, so take advantage! We want you to have the best experience possible.

Do you know where rock climbing began in the UK?Right here in the Lake District National Park. If you want to leave your mark on its history, join us for a full day of climbing in this spectacular part of the country.
We are lucky enough to work out of Ambleside, which is at the head of Langdale. There are many opportunities for climbing here, but we can also easily travel to other locations such as Borrowdale, Eskdale or Dunnerdale and complete the climb you’ve always dreamt of. Napes Needle on Great Gable, anyone?
As this is a personalised session, we can climb where and how you want. It can be an introductory session to outdoor rock climbing or an expedition to a tricky rock face.
You’ll be in the good hands of a highly experienced instructor and using our equipment - both ropes and climbing kit and safety equipment. You need to wear layers of clothing for the time of year and suitable footwear. Don’t forget snacks and drinks.
