Half Day Kayaking at River Derwent

If you want to try something new, getting a taste of Kayaking on the River Derwent at Darley Abbey is a decision you won't regret!

You won't believe how much fun, excitement and learning you can fit into a half day of kayaking.

This session takes place near Derby, and we openly invite everyone from paddlers with no experience to kayaking enthusiasts with lots of experience; we promise to craft a thrilling adventure and boost your skills immensely.

We can offer excellent progression in abilities for everyone because of our professional instructors who will lead you on an exciting exploration of the river and teach you many essential skills to give you confidence on the water and even some more skills like forward and reverse paddling, moving the boat sideways, ruddering and more to provide you with skills for the future and enhance your experience with us.

There will be lots of thrilling games and challenges to engage in while you marvel at the beauty of the stunning sights along the river to keep you entertained.

We provide all the necessary equipment, including the kayak, paddle and buoyancy aid. We also have changing facilities for males and females on site.
