Want to fly but don’t know how?
Tandem flights are our speciality, and we go paragliding in the especially good flying destination of East Sussex. There are plenty of launch sites around Lewes in the South Downs National Park which allow us to take off easily and enjoy spectacular views.
We’ll choose the meeting point based on prevailing weather conditions, then hike up to the peak or grassy hillsides, go through a safety briefing, then spend the day flying. We aim to give each of the participants on the day a flight of at least 20 minutes.
Tandem flights are an option for anyone. The weight limits are 5.5 to 16 stone (35 to 100 kilograms) and under 18-year-olds will need their parents’ permission, but we have flown with individuals from 7 to 93 years old.
In Sussex, we can reach heights of 4,000 ft so you need to be prepared for cold and wind. Wear walking boots or similar, necessary for take-off and landing, and bring snacks and drinks for the day.

Description of 60Min Tandem Paragliding Flight in Lewes Area
A long-haul flight - with a difference!No motor, no tiny windows, just the bids, the elements and the excitement. This is paragliding. We offer tandem flights with an expert pilot that last around 1 hour.
You’ll be overflying the beautiful landscape of the South Downs National Park in East Sussex. Most of our launch sites are near the town of Lewes, and we’ll choose the best one for the conditions of the day.
Once we know the meeting point, we’ll get together and hike up to a hilltop or ridge. The pilot-instructor will deliver a safety briefing, prepare the equipment and start the flights. The group of participants will spend most of the day on the hill - and in the air - so wear layers and outdoor gear including walking boots, and bring drinks and snacks.
Children and adults are welcome to book a tandem flight, provided under-18s have the consent of their parents. We can fly with anyone from 35 to 100 kilograms in weight (that’s 5.5 to 16 stone).
