Powerboat Advanced Course at Teignmouth Bay 3 Days

Come to Teignmouth, Devon, and let yourself experience an incredible and advanced powerboat program for two days and one evening!

First, it is necessary to have acquired the powerboating RYA Average/Intermediate level skills and have background knowledge regarding RYA Yachtmaster. We could accommodate up to 3 people per course and must be 17 years old and above to participate.

The course expands based on the intermediate course's skills you have learned while also including concepts of night navigation. During the night journey, participants will know how to light and unlit buoys, maneuver, and more sophisticated tactics such as back bearings, crossings, and depth contour lines, including helicopter operations and search methods.

Some courses you will be covering are the following:

• Advanced vessel management
• Use of graph plotters and GPS
• Traveling at high velocities
• Location adjustment
• Water roads rules
• Pilotage use in ports at all hours
• Navigating with soundings
• Rescuing a man who has gone overboard
• Understanding synoptic charts

We have experienced instructors who will lead you and provide you with a safety briefing and the equipment. A guidebook, a logbook, and a certificate are all included.
