Historic Royal Palaces

If you consider yourself to be passionate about world history, then you know that the best way to get into time and learn new things is to get to know emblematic and cultural places. Our Organisation goes beyond our desire to share history and royal culture with the world. Everything started in 1989 when we started operating as an Executive Agency of Government, opening five palaces to the Public. Later, the Institution was relocated under the Department of National Heritage.

In 2014, we became an independent charity organisation, adding an additional Royal Palace to our list. Our mission is to create an insightful and personal space for people looking to connect with our history through each Palace we look for, including the Tower of London, Kew Palace, Hampton Court Palace, Kensington Palace, Banqueting House and Hillsborough Castle.

Each Palace has a unique story to tell. Together, they reach over 1,000 years of history, meaning there are new things to learn about each of them every day. We aim to offer a fresh, transparent and inclusive perspective of its Palace, enriching everyone who visits it.
