The Spinnaker Tower dominates the skyline of Portsmouth and pays homage to the maritime heritage of the city. Get your tickets to the top!
The spire reaches a height of 170 metres, while the structure, which recalls a billowing spinnaker sail, has three viewing platforms at heights of 100, 105 and 110 metres. From the top you can look down on Gunwharf Quays, part of the historic Portsmouth Docks and enjoy expansive views that reach across Hampshire, the Isle of Wight and as far as the Jurassic Coast in Dorset.
There are 560 steps from the quay to the top deck. If you don’t fancy climbing those, take a ride in the state-of-the-art lift which travels at 4 metres per second and takes just 30 seconds to elevate you to over 100 metres above water. Once you’ve reached the top, you can enjoy the views using telescopes on the Sky Deck, enjoy food and drink in the Sky Bar and take the best selfies in the south of England.
Spinnaker is more than just an observation tower. We run special events of all kinds, from charity abseils to comedy nights. We’re also a popular location for photoshoots to commemorate weddings and other important occasions, while our high teas looking over the Solent are the perfect way to surprise that special someone.
