Climbing at Belchamps Scout Activity Centre is available to be done both indoors and outdoors, and is a great activity to do. If you are after a challenge, this is the sport to give it to you! From ages 6 up, all skill levels can be accounted for, and the climb can be as hard or as easy as needed.

 The session put on by Belchamps Scout Activity Centre is taught by a qualified instructor, however, if you have an instructor that you would like to use, you can book the range for your own use.

If you have always wanted to try caving, but were a bit scared of getting stuck,  Belchamps Scout Activity Centre can help you  to acclimatise to what it would be like, with their caving simulator. Youwill need to find your way through a maze of chambers with your friends. If you enjoy this activity, then you can also try Belchamps Scout Activity Centre’s assault course. With many different obstacles for you to overcome.

If you want to work up some sweat, and compete against your friends, you are able to go out into the bluebell woods on Belchamps Scout Activity Centre grounds and play a game of Laser Tag with some of your friends. With two teams playing, you will have a great time trying to get the other side, while avoiding getting hit yourself!

Laser Tag at Belchamps Scout Activity Centre is run in conjunction with other activites, and is not something you would come here specifically for.

Taking a hike around Belchamps Scout Activity Centre should be on your list of things to do while you are there. The guided walk around Hockley Woods takes around an hour and a half. Why not combine the hike with bushcraft skills like fire lighting – learning how to light a fire using different methods? You can also take part in some Geocaching, finding markes in and around Hockley Woods.

Archery is one of the many great activities on offer. For anyone aged 6 and up, the indoor range at Belchamps Scout Activity Centre is a great place for beginners to learn, as well as for anyone who just wants to have a go. Curious to try Zorbing? Belchamps Scout Activity Centre can now let you try it out! Enter a giant ball, and then run about on the water – For ages 6 and up, this is a great activity to try, and expends a lot of energy! Available only between 1st April and the 15th Novemember.

High Ropes is a really fun teambuilding and communication exercise, and at Belchamps Scout Activity Centre, there are many challenges for you to take on.

• Jacobs Ladder – 4 people climb a giant ladder, with the spaces getting bigger and bigger.
• Traversing Elements – Go up a balance beam, then try the postmans walk. Then, go even higher and hold on to the dangling vines!
• High All Aboard – 4 people climb up to the top of a pole, then hold each other’s hands and lean back! A great trust building activity.
• Crate Stacking – The group has to build a tower, while members stand on top – how how can you go?!
• Leap of Faith – Climb up a high pole, then leap out to the trapeze a metre and a half away! A great challenge.

Peddle Karting is a great activity for kids aged 6 and up to have a go at. Belchamps Scout Activity Centre has a specially designed track for the pedal karts, and it´s great fun to race your friends around after you have done some other activities and see who can pedal the fastest.  When you finish Karting, you can also have a go on the bungee run, or try out the inflatable Pole Joust.
