It has to be Field of Dreams, an events venue outside Bangor, County Down. Our 36-acre site boasts tranquil lakes, swathes of emerald lawn and a number of permanent and temporary structures, from a Scandinavian-style chalet, The Retreat, and a waterside pergola to tents, teepees and marquees.
If you’re thinking “that sounds like a wonderful place for a wedding,” you’d be right - and you wouldn’t be the first! We’ve had the pleasure of hosting the happiest day of many couples’ lives. In addition to marriages, we’ve hosted successful charity fundraisers, corporate events and stag and hen parties to name but a few.
One of our passions is field sports. That mainly means shooting - Archery, Clay Pigeon Shooting and Air Rifle Shooting. We have both indoor and outdoor ranges of the highest quality to accommodate these pursuits. They’re excellent as stand-alone activities, but they’re also an innovative way to spice up a special occasion like the ones we’ve mentioned above.

When countryside pursuits under the clear blue sky are the order of the day…
...Come to Field of Dreams, where you can enjoy Clay Pigeon Shooting. This sport involves using a shotgun to shoot down clay disks that are fired through the air by a special machine. The discipline has been around for years and years, and it’s a wonderful way to get back to basics and disconnect from the busy world of the 21st century.
Our stunning location helps in this cause. We’re based in the countryside of County Down, outside Bangor. Our site covers 36 acres and includes meadows, copses and even tree-lined lakes. We also have a chalet, a cabin and other facilities which can play a part in making your clay shooting experience a day out to remember.
It’s the perfect place to enjoy clay pigeon shooting whether you’re a first-timer or an experienced shooter. Our instructors are able to tailor their sessions to meet the needs of every individual and all kinds of groups. Parties - stag, hen, birthday, etc. - are welcome, as are more serious occasions like corporate or charity events. Ask us about our combination activities, including Air Rifle Shooting and Archery.

At Field of Dreams, we offer Archery as an activity to liven up the party, provide escapism from the daily grind, or bring people together in the spirit of cooperation. With an indoor range for target archery and an outdoor course for archery golf, we’re able to adapt to the weather as well as the vibe!
People come to our events venue in the green landscape of County Down, not far from Bangor, for all kinds of reasons - weddings, corporate events, parties, etc. - but they all leave talking about the same things. Those include the lawns and lakes of the 36-acre site, the fantastic staff, and the harmonious architecture of the buildings.
Archery is just one of the field sports that we offer. We also do Clay Pigeon Shooting as often as possible and Air Rifle Shooting too. Our activities can be enjoyed on their own or as part of combined programmes. It doesn’t matter if you’re a complete novice or Robin Hood himself, when you come here you’re guaranteed a warm welcome and a successful session.
