Welcome to the best provider of great adventure activities and adventure education, Weardale Adventure Centre! 

We offer our programmes and ventures based on your requirements and it doesn´t matter if your stay is residential or for just a day. We have beautiful facilities that accommodate 80 guests, whether catered or self-catered. 

In addition to our huge rural house of three floors, we have outside large game rooms, camping facilities, bushcraft area and more. We provide our services to schools, corporate groups, colleges, school groups, universities, hen and stag events, birthday parties, families and individuals. 

We proudly announce that we are licensed by the Adventurous Activities Licensing Authority (AALA) and the Learning Outside of the Classroom badge.

We provide courses and events including the introduction to Canoeing and introduction to Climbing. Each course is designed to cover the basic techniques, safety briefing, equipment and much more. The tuition is added to your weekend getaway, which includes amazing accommodation and meals.

Welcome to Weardale Adventure Centre Canoeing courses!

All our tuition are designed for the beginner and novice canoeist. The section will present and cover the basic techniques and skills to get you started on this amazing watersport. 

The programme covers basic skills, safety briefing, all the equipment and all the help and care of the world. The cost of the course includes equipment, the complete tuition that is tailored during two nights weekend and all the meals! 

The fully-catered course is built also for Corporate training, individuals, large groups, schools, colleges and universities through our amazing residential educational development. We will help you to arrange your new adventure and we guarantee that the whole experience will be memorable. 

We offer a beautiful, friendly and relaxed environment that everyone of all ages will adore. We only have highly qualified and experienced instructors that run all the activities and tuitions. 

At Weardale Adventure Centre, we arrange flexible packages to please all your requirements and necessities of your group and/or school. We can even visit your centre first to talk and give an introductory speech about us and answer all your questions!
