Adventure South is a locally run company located in Salcombe, a popular tourist destination in the South Hams, Devon. We offer outdoor adventure activities as well as watersports experiences in the South Devon coastal area. We offer activities suitable for all ages and group sizes.

Our activities are perfect for couples, families, corporate groups and groups of friends, no matter whether you are looking for land based activities like rock climbing or water based activities like coasteering, at Adventure South you will find something you like. We strive to deliver first class customer service and adventurous experiences in all our activities.

We have a wide range of activities, including coasteering, paddleboarding, Paddleboarding/SUP, escape to the hills, Kayak Hire, climbing and Mega-Sup. We are open all year around, so there's something to enjoy in every season. Experience is not required, we only ask that you come with all your energy and adrenaline.

All of our instructors have many years of experience and are highly trained in every sport so you can count on having an outstanding experience. We can also arrange activities for your events, such a stag or hen party, a team building event or just a nice family day out. We will adjust to you and your needs.

Adventure South is an established adventure activity provider and paddleboarding specialist set in the beauty of Devon’s South Hams. We offer a wide range of outdoor adventure activities and different watersports around Salcombe and Marlborough. Apart from the organised trips and activities, we also offer equipment hire, including paddleboards.

We run SUP lessons and tours. Our equipment hire service allows you to have the freedom to paddle wherever and whenever you want. We provide a door stop rental service that makes the whole process a lot easier, as we deliver the equipment right in the morning, just before you go down the beach. We offer inflatable paddleboards that are easy to carry or to fit in a car. We provide you also with a pump, paddles, buoyancy aid and carry pack.

Paddleboarding is a great way to explore sea caves that are otherwise difficult to access or old shipwrecks that aren't easy to reach. You can also use the paddleboards to visit some famous locations like the Thurlestone Rock, doing it at your own pace. You won't need to worry about returning the equipment, because at the end of the day we will pick it up.

From our base in Salcome, part of the beautiful South Hams of Devon, it’s not far at all to one of the best climbing destinations in the south of England - Dartmoor.

The landscape of the National Park is famous for its granite tors, many of which stand proud on the summits of high hills. This granite is excellent for climbers, allowing novices to build confidence and experts to pull off some impressive moves. The views from the top are well with the hard work.

Our sessions on the moor provide an introduction to climbing, we will show you how to complete single pitch ascents, basic belaying techniques and more. We work with trained and experienced guides who will help you every step of the way. We’ll handle the equipment too, so you can focus on reaching new heights.

If you want to try climbing with a twist, check out our coasteering activities that involve climbing and cliff jumping on the coast. We also have plenty of watersports on offer including paddleboarding.

Adventure South is a company committed to getting people out into the great outdoors to enjoy themselves, form interpersonal bonds and have life changing experiences. We work in Salcome, South Hams, and Dartmoor, two locations in Devon that are perfect for hiking.

For some people, hiking doesn’t sound very exciting, but we know how to make it fun. We run a game called Escape the Hills in Salcombe, in which teams race against the clock to find clues, solve puzzles and get to the end of the challenge. Think of an escape room but set over 10 acres of hill, woodland and meadow!

The experience lasts around 1.5 hours and is ideal for team building activities, both corporate and otherwise, as well as families and groups of friends. How about a hen or stag party with a difference? There’s nothing like walking and running around the picturesque game zone to bring people together!
