Founded in 1984 by our owner Helen Wilson, we are the oldest and most experienced watersports centre on the Ring of Kerry and Skellig Coast, where we offer a range of exciting activities for people of all ages and abilities.
As chairperson of the Derrynane Inshore Rescue and a member of the Irish Coastguard, Helen ensures a high level of safety that will make you feel comfortable and secure on all our adventures with Kerry's friendliest and most passionate team of watersports instructors.

Since 1984, our services have improved and expanded while providing countless unforgettable outdoor experiences for people of all ages and abilities under the leadership of the chairperson of the Derrynane Inshore Rescue and a member of the Irish Coastguard, Helen Wilson.
As a watersport provider in Derrynane, our services wouldn't be complete without windsurfing because of the village's history in the sport spanning over 30 years, during which we won the Munster windsurfing Championships and the All-Ireland Windsurfing Championships in the early '80s.

Stand Up Paddle Boarding is one of the fastest-growing paddle sports for many reasons. Paddling is a unique core exercise but with fun and adventure mixed into it to make a full body workout feel fun, and the higher the tempo and more adventurous you are, the more beneficial but you can also take it peacefully to relax in the fresh open air and enjoy the coastal sights.
When it comes to enjoying the surroundings, the sheltered Derrynane Harbour is ideal for taking in the sights and getting valuable paddle boarding practice in calm conditions.

1984 to offer something that everyone wants, which often causes us to adapt our services to provide an unforgettable experience.
One way that our dedicated staff have tailored our activities is to offer hire options where we don't deliver lessons with surfing as a prime example of an exciting activity that we want thrills seekers and adventurers to try, but we only run lessons as a part of our kid's camps otherwise we have made our top class equipment available for hire.
At our disposal, we have a range of bodyboards and surfboards/swell boards for beginners to get a taste of surfing action and ride some waves in the Southwest of Ireland.
Based in Derrynane, we have unique access to sheltered conditions that are great for learning, having fun and gaining some valuable surfing or bodyboarding practice.
You can also hire a wetsuit when renting one of our boards.
