While we are based in the beautiful seaside town of Poole in Dorset, we specialise in Blue Tuna Fishing, and as one of 25 vessels in the UK CHART scheme, we can legally catch, tag and release Atlantic Bluefin Tuna which we do from Falmouth Port which makes us unique.

The TrueBlue is a Rodman 1250 Sports Fisher with twin 430hp Volvo Pent engines, all the latest technology, fully certified with Maritime and Coastguard Agencies Code of Practise and, as mentioned, can be used to host almost any type combination of charter and host sporting events, we can work with you to suit your requirements.

The True Blue experience wouldn't be complete without its owner and skipper, Steve Porter, who has many talents. He has vast experience in the military as a helicopter pilot, a lifetime of fishing in the local area and years of running boats.

Steve's experience, enthusiasm and local knowledge are unmatched, and along with his friendly crew, he creates unforgettable experiences for all types of people and groups; you always have a great chance of catching something big with Steve as his global adventures angling provide give him unique expertise, knowledge that aided us in catching 147 Bluefin Tuna in the 2021 season.

As a Qualified Yachtmaster Instructor Steve, can also accommodate a range of courses and run a variety of boat trips.

We offer more than just your regular boat charter service; we are unique and professional and have one of a limited number of boats in the UK that are fully licensed to catch, tag and release Atlantic Bluefin Tuna legally as part of the CHART scheme.

Bluefin Tuna are magnificent creatures that should be cherished and a pleasure to catch, something that sets our service apart, but it is not our only unique attribute.

Steve Porter, our owner and skipper of the True Blue, grew up fishing in Poole, where we are based, and after completing a military career, he made his transformed his lifelong love of fishing and boating into his full-time passion in 1999 and ran several boats since then including our Rodman 1250 Sports Cruiser, the True Blue is the perfect vessel for our fishing adventures.

The True Blue complies with the Maritime and Coastguard Agencies Code of Practise for vessels operating out to 60 miles, so it is fully certified and has all the newest networked Raymarine electronics such as Axiom displays and Cyclone 110watt RADAR.

With this spectacular vessel, professional skipper and top-class crew, we successfully caught 147 Bluefin Tuna during the 2021 season and hope to do even better with you onboard.

For our Bluefin Tuna fishing charters, we operate from Mylor Yacht Harbour, Churchtown, Near Falmouth in Cornwall.
