Description of SEA LIFE Blackpool

Take your trip to the seaside to the next level…

At SEA LIFE Blackpool, you can step from the promenade of this famous resort into the world beneath the waves. Our aquarium will allow you and your family to journey through the sevens seas, along the coastlines and even into the rainforests of Planet Earth to discover the beautiful and surprising wildlife of these extraordinary environments.

You’ll see animals from seahorses to sharks, turtles to jellyfish and stingrays to puffer fish in our fully equipped tanks. Huge windows and glass-walled tunnels let you get a really close look at them and interpretation boards walk you through what you’re seeing. You can get hands-on too, at the rockpool area and during special events.

Education about marine wildlife and habitats goes hand in hand with conservation. As well as the projects of the wider SEA LIFE organisation, here in Blackpool we organise and take part in beach cleans, encourage responsible fishing and use recycled materials around the aquarium.

SEA LIFE Blackpool is for everyone. The venue, including toilets, is fully accessible for wheelchair users, baby changing facilities are available, guide dogs are welcome and we have special quiet hours for those sensitive to noise. We want you to be able to see the 2,500 animals that we house at your own pace and in comfort. In general, a visit lasts around 2 hours.
