Description of Junior Rock Climbing(10-18 yrs) at Kirrie Hill 2h

Does your child need a boost to reach their full potential?

Bring them rock climbing with us! We run family-friendly two-hour sessions at Kirrie Hill near Kirriemuir that help children develop self confidence and problem solving abilities. Kids of all stripes can get involved in climbing and surprise themselves - and their parents - with their performance.

This session is for groups of up to four people that include at least one adult. The minimum age for children is 10 years old. Previous climbing experience isn’t necessary, but let us know if you’ve tried indoor climbing before because we can help you to transfer your skills.

Running the activity are our team of qualified instructors. They’ll take charge of safety and the direction of the session, increasing the difficulty as the participants become more confident.

They’ll supply the climbing and safety equipment too. You and the kids need to wear loose fitting trousers, good secure trainers or outdoor shoes and hair tied up. Bring a water bottle too!

Deal overview

Description of Junior Rock Climbing(12-17yrs) at Ballater Pass 3h

Give your family the gift of adventure!

Bring them to the Pass of Ballater, in the striking landscape of the Cairngorms National Park, and treat them to a three-hour rock climbing session. This is one of the best rock climbing sites in the highlands.

This session is designed for beginners, but we recommend it to people who aren’t afraid of heights and might have tried something similar before. The minimum age is 12 years old and the group - of maximum  size four - must contain an adult over 18.

We provide the ropes, harnesses, helmets and other climbing and safety equipment. We need you to wear well fitting shoes, lace-up if possible, and loose trousers. Tie your hair back if it’s long, pack some drinks and snacks and you’re ready to go!

You’ll work with one of our qualified instructors. They are an experienced bunch, having  helped all kinds of people get to grips with rock climbing and they’ll be ready to encourage you to be your best and answer any questions.

Sound good? Then we’ll see you at the Pass!
