This 2.5-hour session is perfect for two people or you can double up and take two of them out. No previous experience is required and the minimum age is six years old.
The river in question is the Wensum in Norfolk. We’re based right on the riverside on the edge of Norwich. You can go downstream into the city or in the opposite direction to enjoy the tree-lined banks and open landscape of Norfolk.
We will supply the kayak and paddles as well as life jackets for all participants. Waterproof cases for smartphones and dry bags are also available for a small fee. Ask about the discounts that our customers can enjoy at businesses along the river!

Description of Full Day Tandem Kayak Hire on the River Wensum
Enjoy a whole day of exploration on a beautiful river.We offer kayak hire for a full day, or five and a half hour, period. Kayaking is a wonderful way to enjoy a river, especially in our modern drop-stitch inflatable kayaks - and on the River Wensum in Norwich.
As this is a rental session, you choose the route and pace. Our suggested itineraries are: paddling upstream into the heart of rural Norfolk, going with the flow to the centre of Norwich, or stopping off on the way at Norwich VR and experiencing a journey of a very different kind - with a 10% discount as our customers!
Our kayaks are two-person models so you can bring a friend, family member or first date! We can rent out two at a time for groups of four as well. Children from the age of six can take part and it’s not necessary to have previous experience.
We’ll start the session with a demo, give you tips on safety and kit you out with buoyancy aids, kayaks and paddles. For a small additional cost, you can also take dry bags and waterproof phone cases with you.
The journey ends where it started, at our venue in a pub garden. Drink, anyone?
