Description of Kents Cavern

Kents Cavern Prehistoric Caves are a great palce to bring the whole family for a fun and educational day out. The caves are open all year round, so you are able to visit them rain, hail or shine! Join one of the many fun and informative tours while you visit, or explore the area outside the cave for its lovely views.

If you fancy yourself a bit of a photographer, you can also take along your camera to get some great shots of the environment inside the cave, however you are not allowed a video camera, just in case you trip up! Tours are every 10 minutes, however sometime the waiting time to get into the cave itself can take up to an hour, especially on wet days! Description of Kents Cavern Caving

If you like the idea of caving, but are hesitant because you are scared of the narrow gaps or the possibility of getting wet, why not ease yourself into it by bringing the family along for a great caving experience at Kents Cavern.  One of the most amazing caves in the United Kingdom, the caves are always a great temperature, and are beautiful to look at as well. Wheelchair users can go to the first underground chamber, and then there is a DVD tour to watch.

Walking is a great activity, and the area around Kents Cavern is a beautiful place to explore.
