Adult Half Day Abseiling Session at Backbarrow

Do you want to engage yourself in a thrilling sport for those who like to climb uphill and then abseil down while taking in the incredible view?

Well, you are in the right place at the right time! Join us in this abseiling activity at Backbarrow, South Cumbria, wherein a mix of walking or jumping down a steep rock face would occur in different locations to suit every taste and skill level, all with breathtaking views and cliffs!

We offer you sessions that would commence with meeting the instructor near the venue and receiving the necessary attire and equipment (waterproof jacket, waterproof trousers, and personal and group safety equipment). On the other hand, partakers must bring warm outdoor clothing to counteract cold weather conditions.

Additionally, participants will be provided with a comprehensive safety lesson when arrived at the crag. The instructor will establish a training abseil to illustrate and practice the proper technique. After that, the instructor will select and rig a suitable abseil. Each participant should have the opportunity to do a few abseils, and if time permits, a second abseil could be attempted.

This activity requires half of the day for you to make the best out of this experience. Since this is for adults, the minimum age requirement is 18. For younger people, please consider our other offers! It is also important to remember that groups must have a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 15 people to be accommodated.
