It's similar to surfing, with the difference that you lay down on the board instead of standing up. We welcome children of all ages and abilities to join our lessons. They'll be under our instructors' supervision and coaching, ensuring safety at all times. They are highly qualified beach lifeguards, ensuring nothing but a top-tier experience.
We run our bodyboarding lessons at Strandhill Beach. We start with a beach talk, changing time and a short beach demo. We will grasp the basics of bodyboarding and then, you'll have approximately 1.5 hours in the water. You'll have a total time of 2.5 hours from start to finish! However, we require every participant to arrive 15 minutes before the lesson.
Children under 16 years old have a discounted price. We supply all the equipment! You only need to bring swimming gear, a backpack, suncream and a towel! We guarantee confidentiality and new skills after our lesson!

Bodyboarding is your perfect alternative to get some confidence in water before jumping into surfing. Have you heard of it before? It consists in laying on the board to ride smaller waves. It's a great introduction to surfing!We run our lessons at Strandhill Beach in Sligo, where a professional instructor will meet you there to start your session with a beach talk and brief introduction to bodyboarding. Our lessons are suitable for beginners and improvers as we cater the experience around your needs and ability level. We supply all the equipment, you only need to bring a towel, suncream, swimming gear and a backpack.
You'll receive a short beach demo and your bodyboarding lesson. We will ensure you feel confident enough to taste your new bodyboarding skills. Your lesson is 2.5 hours long from start to finish. We require every participant to arrive 15 minutes before starting!
