Cumulus Outdoor Events Climbing is an amazing experience for climbers of all experience, we run sessions and days for beginners as well as more experienced climbers on a range of different sites, including outdoor climbing walls for when the weather is poorly, but we prefer to use the natural treasures near Swanage  with spectacular locations such as cliffs overlooking lush valleys, hillsides, mountains and the coast of Dorset.

An amazing experience for people of all walks of life, Cumulus Outdoor Events Abseiling sees you abseiling from a huge range of locations in Dorset including towers, bridges and buildings though we do prefer the real thing and also offer abseiling from mountain and hillside crags, quarries, the occasional mine shaft and cave as well as coastal cliffs.

 Abseiling can be enjoyed in itself as a half day or full days experience as well as combined with our climbing coasteering sessions to make for a full adventure for you and your group.

Our fully qualified and experienced instructers can deliver a simple taster of this brilliant sport, or we can delve deeper and teach you the essential skills that make abseiling possible, from how to set up abseil systems, and what the equipment does as well as the safety rope systems and techniques.

Join Cumulus Outdoor Events Orienteering for an exciting race through the natural beauty of Dorset with a difference. Orienteering can be a walking race, or full pelt on foot or by bike and can be made to be much more challenging and rewarding though the inclusion of cryptic clues, having to interview people to obtain the location of the next marker, recording images, scavenging for items, as well as performing various challenges participating in other activities we offer as you continue on your route.

We regularly run half  and full day races and even sessions at night! If this is your first time enjoying this fun sport, we can train those with undeveloped navigation skills using a variety of tools such as a variety of maps, compasses and GPS systems.

Once you have completed your training and the briefing, we head out to the starting line to being your orienteering session. We supply radios for teams so you can maintain constant communication (more for the friendly banter rather than the support), and if you are not 100% confident in your navigation skills we can accompany you until you are feeling self-suffieient, and we also have personnel on hand at key locations and junctions to give assistance if required.
