Welcome to The Lake District Adventure Partnership Canoeing. We are based in the heart of the Lake District National Park.

If you are looking for a relatively relaxing water activity, canoeing is for you!

We work with Canadian canoes that are very stable and ideal for lake excursions. They require a single bladed paddle and you will paddle alongside a partner. It is important that you work together in order to move forward!

You will be taught the basic paddling techniques by a qualified canoeing instructor that will also guide you on your journey. Enjoy gliding along our calm waters whilst marvelling the scenery.

Welcome to The Lake District Adventure Partnership Kayaking. You will find is in the heart of the Lake District National Park in Cumbria.

Kayaking involves paddling boats originally designed by Eskimos for travelling on open water. The boat is generally closed deck and you will use a double bladed paddle to move through the water.

We will show you the basic paddling techniques on a calm water lake before moving onto a white water river.

Our surrounding waters offer a variety of challenges for the most experienced kayakers. What´s more, we can help you arrange accommodation to suit your taste and budget if you would like to make a holiday out of your visit.

We have the best variety of beaches, which means that you will be able to get good flying conditions no matter what! We are regarded as one of the windiest spots in the UK.

Kitesurfing is a technical sport and it is important to purchase lessons in order to have a good, solid foundation of understanding.

You can expect to glide through the water and fly through the air!

The Lake District Adventure Partnership Canyoning is based in the heart of Cumbria and we offer canyoning adventures through a variety of gorges and canyons.

The idea is simple; to follow the flow of water downwards. But the reality is challenging!

You can expect to walk, scramble, climb and swim through inaccessible gorges and canyons. You will encounter pools of deep water and chutes as well as vertical drops!

It is a breathtaking activity with dramatic, unspoilt scenery; at times the sky can disappear from view as the walls close in above you.

Welcome to The Lake District Adventure Partnership Gliding in Cumbria.

If you didn´t know, gliding is all about flying in a relatively small, non-powered aircraft.

For those with no previous experience, you introductory flight will consist of flying in a 2-seater glider alongside a qualified instructor. You will be shown how the controls work and what effects they have.

You may even take control if you are feeling confident enough, before your instructor lands you both back down safely.

There are many people who prefer to just sit back and enjoy the views!

We offer you the chance to get your feet wet whilst exploring our underground caving systems.

You will get to see stalagmites and stalactites in the beam of your headlamp and experience the diversity of the underground world.

Caving can be extremely challenging; it will all depend on the cave we visit and your fitness level. You will often have to negotiate pitches, squeeze through tiny tunnels and climb or abseil using ropes.

Our location is one of the most exciting places to enjoy mountain bike riding in the world!

We have the highest peaks in England to challenge the most experienced cyclists and organise epic days out to suit everyone. There are miles and miles of breathtaking countryside to explore for days on end if you wish!

The most impressive summits in England are Helvellyn and Skiddaw, which can be accessed by bridleways. They are 2 of our most classic high mountain routes.

Welcome The Lake District Adventure Partnership Abseiling in the heart of Cumbria.

If you are looking for a challenge that requires a head for heights, abseiling is for you! We describe it as having lots of fun sliding down a rope with some semblance of control.

We select the abseils that you will complete according to your previous experience and ability. There are plenty of crags to choose from in the Lake District National Park as well as many abandoned quarries.

Abseiling is a safe and popular activity that can be completed individually or with a group of friends. What´s more, it is suitable for people of all ages and fitness levels and we provide all the specialist equipment you will need.
